$15 Funny Fridays

The Avenue Theater is bringing something completely new to Denver. All summer long, $15 Funny Fridays will present a different and wonderfully funny way to spend an evening with friends. The Avenue Theater has been a Denver favorite for over 20 years and is centrally located downtown.

Here are their summer offerings:

July 17 - Rodents of Unusual Size

A comical mixture of sketch & improv. The cheesiest show in town! This performance is a benefit for The Smile Train.

July 24 Recipe for Mile Hi-Larity's July Comedy Special:

Take three parts fast-paced improv, one part original sketch comedy, shake until thoroughly mixed up, serve warm (it is July after all!) and you have a comedy dish that is sure to leave you laughing!"

July 31 - Chicken Lips

Tickling funny bones throughout the US for over 25 years. That's a lot of laughs!

August 7

Gypsy Cab Co. is a long form improvised show comprised of local improvisers, some of the best you'll see anywhere!

August 14 - When Animals Improv

A collaboration between two of Denver’s funniest short-form improvisational comedy groups – Monkey’s Uncle and The Rodents Of Unusual Size!

August 21 - Dishwater Blondes

These five fabulous females create a cast of characters and take them on a roller-coaster ride of wild scenes and strange adventures!

August 28 - 60 Minutes: The Musical!

This news-worthy romp is a hilarious take on the state of network news. "60 Minutes The Musical!" includes Broadway-style musical numbers, behind-the-scenes peeks, quirky news segments & interviews, an assortment of commercial parodies on video, and an Andy Rooney moment you won't want to miss. It's the most fun you've ever had watching "60 Minutes!“

All shows begin at 7:30 and all tickets are just $15!
